Care that prevents your Sognare® Pillow from being damaged

Care that prevents your Sognare® Pillow from being damaged

We know that many people still have doubts about how the pillow should be washed properly, to prevent it from being damaged. In this space we will solve some of those doubts, and we will give you some tips to prevent that from happening.

- Care that prevents your Sognare® Pillow from being damaged and Pillows Product

One of the recurring concerns about the Sognare® pillow is that it takes a long time to dry after washing. This happens because it is made with Microfussion® Technology , which houses the gel microfibers.

To prevent it from taking so long to dry, follow these steps:

  • The Sognare® pillow should be washed in the washing machine, using liquid detergent (preferably colorless) and without adding any type of fabric softener.
  • The wash cycle we recommend using is "DELICATE". Let the cycle run in its entirety and finish the spin.
  • If you perceive that there is still some excess water, remove it by placing it between two towels and press until you extract as much as possible.
  • After removing excess water, put it in a dryer for 15 minutes at a temperature NO HIGHER than 50 ° degrees.
  • In addition to ensuring all moisture is removed, tumble drying it will also leave it slightly fluffy.

What if the filling crumpled when I took it out of the washing machine?

This occurs because filler builds up at certain points and usually when using blade washers. It is best washed in an upright, bladeless washing machine.

However, once the cycle of your washing machine is finished, with everything and spin, take out the pillow and try to distribute the filling by moving the pillow from side to side.

Then follow the recommendation above about putting it in the dryer. This will help inject air back into the gel microfibers and take them back to their original shape.

What if my pillow turns yellow? What I do?

It is very common for any white fabric to turn yellow over time, so it is not surprising that at some point your pillows get stained and turn a not very pleasant color.

Why does this happen? It can be for two reasons:

  • If the fabric has some type of humidity and it is exposed to the sun, it is very likely that it will acquire one or more yellow stains.
  • When the fabric comes into contact with the skin, sweat from the face, oil, tears or even saliva can damage and stain the fabric.

To delay the appearance of stains on the pillow, we suggest:

  • - Wear a cover

We recommend that you always put a cover on it, this will prevent the sweat from your face, the fat, or the PH of your body, from being in contact with the pillow.

NOTE : If your pillow turned yellow, it is a fact that even if it is washed, it will not be completely removed. Therefore, it is very important that when washing the first time, our recommendations above are followed.
