Flannel is a soft fabric that, thanks to its insulating capacity and durability, was originally used to make warm clothing and combat low temperatures. It was a popular fabric among farmers, lumberjacks and people who worked outdoors during the 19th and 20th centuries.

How to wash flannel step by step

So that it does not lose its initial softness or pilling appears due to inappropriate use or washing, we give you some tips:

• Turn it inside out to protect its fibers. You will avoid scratches and the fluff that usually comes off in the first washes.
• Do not fill the drum to the top, it occupies a maximum of a third of the drum of the washing machine so that the clothes are loose.
• Wash your flannel clothes with  Norit Machine , its formula cares for and protects fabrics with the same care as if you did it by hand.
• Avoid the use of fabric softeners as they can cause increased pilling (detachment of fiber balls).
• Select a short program and at a low temperature, avoiding intense spinning.
• Do not twist flannel garments, you could deform them or break their fibers. Treat them gently when laying them out.
• After washing flannel garments in the washing machine, try not to wash light-colored garments, this will prevent the lint that the flannel may have loosened from remaining on the garments.
