Homemade tricks for cleaning carpets
Kill germs from carpets with various cleaning tricks using natural ingredients. It will improve your health and that of your home.
Do you have rugs at home? Do you spend time cleaning the carpets to keep them in good condition?
Who more and who less always enjoys in their home that beautiful carpet in the living room, the same one that children or pets get dirty every day.
You may have some in your room, or it is possible that you are quite a fan of them and have practically the house "lined".
However, there is always a problem with carpets.
They give the home a more intimate and elegant atmosphere, but it takes a lot to clean them and keep them in good condition.
Not only do they catch odors, but they are a more than ideal setting for the dreaded mites to occupy and allergies appear.
What can we do? Don't worry, today we give you simple remedies.
Tricks for cleaning carpets
We pass over them almost every moment, they fill with dust and dirt and can pollute the air in the home due to the large number of germs that they can accumulate.
And not only that. A carpet that has not been cared for, becomes caked and frayed, which can cause the occasional home accident.
We have to be careful, so it is worth taking into account these simple tips that will be useful to you when cleaning carpets.
1. Cleaning long-pile carpets
They are very pretty, funny and both children and our pets love them.
That is why we must take special care to wash them more frequently and take care that these synthetic threads do not come off.
Our dogs, or younger children, could eat them and have a serious problem.
This is what we should do to take care of long-pile rugs:
What I need?
50 ml white vinegar
250 ml of water
How should I do it? This product is ideal for cleaning, removing germs and disinfecting. Don't be afraid that the vinegar smell will linger after cleaning, because it won't. The moment it dries, the scent will volatilize.
It is not about completely “soaking” the carpet, but about spraying over it. To do this, the first thing we will do is hang it somewhere outdoors , ideal if you have a balcony or terrace. If not, find a room where you can open the windows and hang the rug so it can give it air.
Hit it with a poker to remove any dust, hair, small items of trash or dirt that it may have. Next, mix the white vinegar and water in a spray bottle and spray the carpet with it. Then you just have to let it dry. Allow it to breathe for about 3 hours.
2. How to clean a bad smelling carpet
Surely you have at home that older carpet, the one that always gives off an odor that makes the room smell of old age or a neglected home.
Is very annoying. However, there is a remedy that never fails.
What I need?
250 g of salt. The amount is approximate, since ideally you can sprinkle the entire surface of the carpet with common table salt.
How should I do it? It's interesting to know that salt is great not only for removing “stubborn” odors, but also for removing moisture stains . To do this, the first thing we will do is spread the carpet and, as we have indicated before, sprinkle it with salt.
You will have to roll it up little by little, so that it is very close together and with hardly any spaces. Let it work for a whole day. Afterwards, you will only have to use the vacuum cleaner to remove all the salt, dirt and bad smell .
3. How to quickly clean your home rugs
This trick is the simplest of all and one of the most used.
It will be useful to clean the carpets in a few minutes, removing stains, deodorizing and, in turn, eliminating any germs .
What I need?
100 ml of ammonia
A liter of warm water
A sprayer
A brush
How should I do it? First of all, we must take a series of precautions with this product, since exposure to it can be toxic to the body. Therefore, it is essential that we open the windows so that the room is well ventilated and that we wear a mask and gloves.
Then what we will do is heat the water. It is enough that it is hot, but without burning. Add the ammonia, being careful not to splash yourself, and transfer the mixture to a spray bottle.
The next step is very simple: spray this content all over the carpet, then use a brush and carefully scrub the entire surface. Keep leaving the windows open so the fresh air can finish drying the carpet.

How to clean dirt and disinfect carpets in your home
The rugs enrich the decoration of the living room, give life to the home and insulate from the cold. There are them from different countries of the world, of different styles, colors, decorative motifs, etc. Some are even real works of art and real handicrafts, but all of them, with the passage of time and with inadequate cleaning , can become a source of infection . The various fabrics that make up the carpets retain millions of dust mites, bacteria, dirt, soot, human and animal hair or dead skin.
For optimal maintenance of carpets, whether they are wool, silk, cotton, goat hair or synthetic fabrics, it is advisable to clean them twice a year . To accomplish this task, here are some of the best vacuum cleaners. In this way, you will prevent your carpet from becoming a source of dirt and the fabrics from deteriorating.
Cleaning carpets at home effectively, naturally and economically is possible with a few basic ingredients and some specific tips:
Frequent cleaning
For normal and frequent cleaning, we first have to start by turning the carpet. Then you have to vacuum the back. Dirt, dust and crumbs will be removed. In any case, here is how to clean carpets with vacuum cleaners.
We turn again, and sprinkle a small amount of baking soda . Then we spread it over the entire surface with the help of a soft bristle brush. If we are afraid of delicate fabric, we can use a cloth that is completely dry.
You have to let the bicarbonate act as long as possible, the ideal would be about 24. Then it is removed with the vacuum cleaner. If this action is done often, the carpets will always be clean and deodorized. This is because bicarbonate naturally eliminates odors, without masking them .
Deep cleaning
For a more thorough cleaning, a mixture consisting of two glasses of white vinegar and three tablespoons of sodium bicarbonate is made in a liter of water and the product is distributed with a sprayer. The carpet is gently brushed and allowed to dry well, away from sunlight so as not to damage the colors.
With equal parts white vinegar and coarse salt, a paste with a creamy consistency is created, which will help us to clean the different stains that the carpet may have. This mixture is an excellent stain remover, but should be used with care on especially delicate fabrics. For fresh, wet, or oily stains, a mixture of baking soda and cornstarch should be applied.
Hand cleaning
When dimensions allow, carpets can be cleaned by hand or in the washing machine with a mild and ecological detergent, such as a mixture of Marseille soap in a bottle of water , a cup of baking soda and a few drops of Essential oil of the perfume you prefer is optional. All ingredients are mixed well and used as a normal laundry detergent.
Cotton or sponge rugs, especially those used in the bathroom, can be treated with Marseille soap. First of all, the soap must be dissolved with water and poured with a spray.
It is also recommended that the carpets be allowed to air dry , although away from sunlight that could create stains, if for example, the carpet is a light color.
Steam cleaning
To approach the cleaning of home carpets in a homemade and natural way, we have to mention steam. It is a sanitizing technique that considerably reduces the population of mites that proliferate, especially in terms of temperature (approximately 20ºC) and humidity index (60º onwards). These are vital conditions, very optimal for these arachnids.
Steam cleaners only use high-temperature water, to create a very powerful natural steam with a high disinfection capacity . A study carried out in Glasgow found a decrease of more than 90% in the concentration of mites per gram of dust in the carpets, after being cleaned with steam.
Cleaning by professionals
Nor can the cleaning carried out by professionals be overlooked, either at the client's own home or with home collection. These companies perform professional work at the highest level .
Using very precise techniques for each type of tissue, they use the injection-extraction system, combining the injection force of specific products for disinfection and cleaning of the tissues and the subsequent extraction of the liquid by sucking up the dirt. The service is unbeatable, while they clean, they also restore.

How to clean carpets at home step by step with home remedies
Bacteria, pollen debris, dust and dead skin coexist on a carpet. Find out how to properly clean carpets to avoid infection or disease.
Keeping carpets clean and germ-free can seem like a challenge. Especially if you have children or animals at home. Here are several options for dry cleaning carpets in the comfort of your home. This comes in handy if your rug is large.
In another article we already saw how to clean car upholstery . Now we will talk about the different types of rugs and how to clean them.
Types of rugs
There are many types of rugs, and we must take this into account before cleaning. Depending on the material with which it is made, we will have to use some methods and products or others.
Handicraft professionals often use natural raw materials such as wool, silk, linen, cotton, esparto, jute or sisal. As they are made by hand, they are also dyed with natural pigments, a very important fact to take into account for their cleaning and conservation.
Of wool, silk and combined : they are made by hand and originate from eastern countries such as Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan or Turkey .
Wool and cotton rugs : they come from North African countries, such as Morocco, Tunisia or Algeria and are also made in an artisan way. Like the previous ones, its value will depend on the number of knots they contain on the reverse . From vegetable fibers : here we can distinguish between various kinds of materials: Jute, coconut fiber, sisal, mats and Sea Grass. The problem with these rugs is that, being made of vegetable fibers, they can deteriorate with humidity, except for Sea Grass as they are waterproof.
Animal skin rugs : they are made with the skin of cows, sheep or other animals. They are very resistant to friction but very delicate against humidity and the intrusion of some insects.
Combination rugs : they often combine natural and synthetic materials, which can make the cleaning process even more difficult.
Synthetics : they are much cheaper because they are made with low-cost machines and materials. However, they are very resistant and we can find them woven with different components : acrylic, nylon, polypropylene or polyester rugs. With this last material the long pile carpet is usually made.
How to clean carpets
Depending on the material with which our carpet is made, we will have to do the cleaning in one way or another.
The best method that exists to keep any type of carpet in perfect condition is to use a high-powered vacuum cleaner and do it regularly. This is essential for long pile carpet.
To clean jute or latex rugs you should know that they are not washable and can deteriorate with the use of water. Do not wet or submerge them, except to remove difficult and specific stains. Lastly, prevent water from penetrating the base.
In vegetable fiber rugs , in addition to vacuuming at least once a week, you can wipe with a damp cloth with water and mild soap. Make sure it is well drained and then rinse with just water using the same procedure.
Pure wool and cotton rugs can be washed with mild soap, cold water and salt to avoid color mixing. However, if it is large, we recommend that you take it to a dry cleaner to ensure that it is left in perfect condition.
Also important is the fact that wool rugs must be collected in summer so that insects such as moths cannot spoil them.
Carpet Cleaning Techniques
For cleaning heavily soiled carpets, especially long-pile carpets, vacuum cleaners and brush brushes are often the best options. However, bicarbonate is ideal for cleaning all types of carpets without damaging the fabrics, as well as being very effective. You just have to mix it with a little salt, spread the powder over the surface to be treated, leave it to act for an hour and remove the remains with a vacuum cleaner. The bicarbonate frees the fabric of dust and bacteria and improves its smell.
The steam cleaner is a great alternative for cleaning all types of carpets. It removes dust and impurities without damaging fabrics, and if you spread a little baking soda with salt on the carpet, you will optimize steam cleaning. Run the steamer twice over the same area and let it dry completely.
Hot water with vinegar is also very effective in removing stains from your carpets. Spray the fabric with this preparation and scrub the moistened surface with a bristle brush . You will see how even the most difficult stains will be removed without problems.
For oil or grease stains, cornstarch or corn starch is very effective. Sprinkle a little on the stain and let it sit for about 30 minutes . Then, vacuum and brush the treated area with a dry brush.
If you need to remove wine stains or other strong liquids, mix one tablespoon of dishwasher with a cup of hydrogen peroxide and spread the mixture over the stain. Leave on for half an hour and use a damp bristle brush to rub gently. Then dry the mixture with a cloth.
We hope we have helped you with the cleaning of your carpet, whether of animal origin, synthetic or long pile carpet. There will be no stain that resists these tricks.

Why You Should Vacuum Your Carpet
For many people, the concepts carpet and vacuum cleaner are polar opposites that should not be touched. There are many legends, hoaxes and half-documented stories about why it should not be used. But the vacuum cleaner is a tool that can extend the life of our carpet by keeping it clean in the process, if we use it well.
Of course, the questions arise of how often a carpet must be vacuumed and how it should be done to avoid damaging its fabrics. If you want to keep your carpet for many years, you are in the right place. We tell you when and how to vacuum to leave it like the first day for longer.
How often do I have to vacuum the carpet?
The frequency with which a carpet is cleaned varies depending on the type of fabric and the occupation of the home . Although it is usually recommended to clean a carpet every two weeks, it will be advisable to do it before if small children live in the house who play on it or if we have a pet.
We will also have to increase the frequency if we have a rug under the table where we eat, if it is in a damp place, or if it is woven with natural fibers. Factors all of them that help to a certain extent to fix the dirt.
Since a general cleaning is usually done throughout the weekend, we can include the task of a couple of minutes that will take us to vacuum the carpet taking into account a couple of tips to avoid damaging it.
Why vacuum versus shaking?
The vacuum cleaner is not an infallible method of cleaning, but a preventive treatment to prevent dust, suspended particles and organic debris from seeping into the fabrics, sticking to them, and causing damage or a bad odor (such as that generated the mold or fungi to growing up ).
Passing the vacuum cleaner we are removing the first layers of dirt on the carpet, but not those that are already inside, and that require shaking it or going through a specialized cleaning service.
Therefore, the less a carpet is vacuumed, the more times it will have to be shaken to remove the dirt embedded inside, with the deterioration that it supposes . In addition, more trips will have to be made to the dye for cleaning , adding a cost that we could have easily saved.
How to use the vacuum cleaner without damaging the carpet?
However, the vacuum cleaner is not without danger for the fibers of our carpet, and it will be necessary to pass it carefully if we do not want to damage it. We give you some tips to use it:
Leave the carpet for the end of the cleaning
To begin with, we should not vacuum before cleaning the dust on the furniture . Although it seems that it is not related, when cleaning the furniture we are dispersing a thin layer of dirt on the floor (and therefore on the carpet) that we would then have to remove again if we do not want to leave it dirty until we vacuum again the next time.
Similarly, it is recommended to vacuum the house before going over the carpet , saving it for last. Especially if the vacuum is not water, the filter often acts as a blower for hot and dirty air, something for which normal filter vacuums have been criticized.
Choose a low-suction vacuum
As we have said, the idea after vacuuming is not to remove all the interior dirt, but to remove the first layers (the most recent). If we use all the power of the machine we could damage the fabrics, so the ideal thing would be to buy a vacuum cleaner with a power regulator , reducing it when passing especially for not very rigid carpets that can fray.
Carpet care tips
As these types of vacuum cleaners are quite expensive, the alternative is to acquire an independent head, seeking to fulfill two points that help soften the force of the air on the fabric :
That the mouth of the vacuum cleaner has a lot of surface.
That this is adjustable in height, being able to move it away from the carpet.
In this way we will avoid sucking with great force.
Technique is important when vacuuming
Just like when and what to vacuum with, you have to pay attention to how. The ideal is not to pass twice in a row and in the same direction through the same point , so as not to force the fabrics or bend or stretch them excessively.
Vacuuming in a vee, diagonal, or changing the direction of pass helps the fibers to withstand the stresses and will clean the carpet without reducing its useful life.
It is important to vacuum with the carpet horizontally on the floor , and not with it hanging (for example from a clothesline). In this way we will avoid forcing the fabrics more than necessary, in addition to being able to extract as much dirt as possible, since the dirt will move vertically or diagonally inside the fabric, sometimes to get trapped.
In addition to all the previous points, it is always recommended to vacuum dry if we do not want the fabrics to be caked or even to trap dust.
And, of course, if we don't have time or desire, we will always have to go to the dye ...
Note: Hamid rugs is not responsible for any defects that may be caused by the application of these cleaning and care tips, as the products and tools mentioned are advisable, but depending on the way they are applied they could damage the rugs. This is because the materials of each rug are unique and their dyes and composition will react in different ways. We always recommend professional carpet restoration and cleaning.

How to vacuum a carpet
Vacuuming may not be fun, but it is an important chore to keep clean and has many health benefits. Vacuuming dust, dirt, and other particles prevents people with allergies or asthma from suffering from discomfort. Vacuuming also increases the life of carpets and rugs, which can help you save time and money in the long run when you don't have to replace them.
Method 1 Vacuuming a woven rug
1 Find the direction of the grain of the carpet. Woven rugs can have a lot, little or no fiber. This is the density of the vertical fibers that protrude from the carpet. The direction in which the fibers naturally lie is called the fiber direction. [1] To determine it, run your hand along the rug. If you do it against the grain, you will feel the resistance. You should always vacuum or brush woven rugs in the direction of the grain. Otherwise, softer yarns may break. [2]
2 Vacuum in a direction perpendicular to the direction of the grain. If you vacuum in the direction of the grain, the fibers will cover and protect the dirt you want to remove. Vacuuming against the direction of the grain will cause unnecessary wear on the carpet and can cause fiber loss and damage. [3]
3 Don't vacuum the fringes. When vacuuming the edges, use your hand or foot to pin the fringe down. Vacuuming them could damage the vacuum and the carpet. [4] Suction roller vacuums are better for this task, as the fringes will not get stuck inside the vacuum.
Method 2 Vacuuming tufted rugs
1 Check the underside for possible flaking or peeling. Tufted rugs are held together by a layer of latex glue that secures the fringes and prevents them from falling off. If the carpet is very old, this layer of glue could show signs of cracking and crumbling, which means that the fringes will no longer be secured. If you see patches on the underside of the carpet where there is no glue, be very careful when cleaning that part. Exerting a lot of pressure will cause the fibers to come off and create new patches. [5]
2 Find the direction of the grain. All tufted rugs have a fiber; it is the density of the protruding vertical fibers. They also have a grain direction, which is the direction the fibers naturally lie. [6] To determine the direction of the grain, run your hand over the carpet. It will appear darker and you will feel resistance when you brush against the grain. If the carpet is rectangular, the grain direction will go the length. Regular traffic on the carpet can change the direction of the grain in certain places. Rotate rugs on a regular basis so the grain stays even throughout the rug.
3 Vacuum periodically in the direction of the grain. If you vacuum in the direction of the grain, the fibers will cover and protect the dirt you want to remove. Vacuuming against the direction of the grain will cause unnecessary wear to the carpet and could accidentally remove the fringes. [7] For best results, use a bagless vacuum and stir bar, or a similar vacuum that only uses suction.
Method 3 Vacuuming a flat-weave rug
1 Vacuum frequently. Flat-weave rugs are fiber-free and made of durable materials. Due to their fine, yet tough nature, they will appear dirtier more often than other rugs, as there will be less room for dirt and dust to hide. While excessive vacuuming can often cause wear and tear on the carpet, durable materials can hold up quite a bit before this occurs.
2 Be careful with the fringes. If vacuumed upwards, the fringes can get caught in the stir bar and damage both the vacuum and the carpet. [8] For this reason, temporarily turn off the agitator bar when vacuuming the edges or use a bagless vacuum that uses only suction. If you have access to a vacuum with stir bars, hold the fringes down with your hand while vacuuming.
3 Vacuum both sides. Flat-weave rugs are reversible, and both sides are susceptible to soiling. Vacuuming both sides will remove dirt that can wear down the carpet early. [9] Turn the carpet over occasionally to distribute the wear evenly on both sides. This will increase its life and reduce wear.
Method 4 Vacuuming a thick carpet
1 Flip the rug over and vacuum the underside. By doing this first, you will be able to loosen dirt and dust deep in the carpet. [10] For this step, you will need a vacuum with a stir bar. Stand on the rug and use your feet to prevent the edges from lifting up when you vacuum. Alternatively, you and a friend can turn the thick rug over and shake it vigorously to loosen dirt and dust. However, thick rugs are very heavy, so it will be difficult to do it without help.
2 Vacuum the floor under the carpet. Roll up the rug and set it aside for a moment. On the floor, there will be dirt and dust that you have previously dislodged from the carpet. Vacuum this part before putting the carpet in place, but this time, face up. [eleven]
3 Vacuum the top with a light suction. Unlike the bottom, stir bar vacuums are not recommended for use on the top, as long fibers will wrap around them and damage the vacuum. Using a vacuum cleaner with mild suction can also cause damage by pulling the fringes from the carpet. Instead, use a small vacuum with low suction or use the crevice tool to gently clean the top.
Tips Dust your carpets frequently. The best way to remove dust from a carpet is to prevent it from accumulating in the first place. [12] Regardless of the type of carpet you have, always use a non-slip base! In addition to increasing the life of the carpet, it prevents it from sliding or scratching the surface below. [13] Vacuuming a carpet is very effective in controlling the hair of cats and dogs in the house.
Warnings Don't vacuum fur, sheepskin, or fur rugs. These rugs require special attention to care for the coat. [14]

How to vacuum the carpet or carpet and leave it 100% clean
Carpets are present in most homes and it has surely happened to you that after vacuuming it, you feel that it was not as clean as you expected.
Today I will give you some very useful tips and techniques to vacuum your carpet and make it impeccable.
How to vacuum the carpet step by step
If you have pets in addition to carpets , you will be interested in this guide on vacuum cleaners that work very well with the hair of your animals.
# 1 Clear the carpet The first thing you should do is clear the carpet of all objects that could bother you cleaning, such as tables and chairs.
# 2 Place the appropriate mouthpiece If your vacuum includes a special carpet brush, you should place it before you start.
If you have a cordless vacuum cleaner, much better, since it will allow you to have greater freedom of movement.
# 3 Aim for medium power Turn on the vacuum and put it on medium power .
A very high power would absorb the pile of the carpet, and a low one does not have the necessary force to remove the dirt from it.
# 4 Follow the direction of the strands Vacuum in the direction of the strands of the carpet, in slow movements , and then go perpendicular .
In this way, you will absorb as much dust and dirt as possible.
# 5 Use the nozzle for the corners If the carpet or carpet reaches the wall, use the nozzle to vacuum in the corners
This is one of the places where dirt accumulates the most because we do not usually clean there.
How often should I vacuum?
Carpet should be cleaned every day if it is in a high traffic area of the home.
But if you are in a space that is not used much then you can do a weekly cleaning .
How to remove the bad smell from the carpet?
If the carpet is very dirty and has a bad smell, you can dry clean it with baking soda .
Just add it all over the carpet, leave it on overnight, and vacuum the carpet as usual.
The bad smell will disappear and it will look much cleaner.
How to remove stains from the carpet?
Now, if you want to remove a specific stain, make a mixture of water, white vinegar and liquid soap.
Apply it to the carpet with a spray bottle, and rub it with a cloth or soft bristle brush, then vacuum it.
I do not recommend using a very strong brush as it can loosen the fibers of the carpet.

How to eliminate dust after carrying out works in our home
To clean after a work or renovation in your home it is necessary to be cautious, you must take into account that the objects of your home are well protected with some fabric or plastic against any damage and delimit the areas of the work to facilitate the subsequent work of cleaning. It is also important to open windows and doors, in order to provide the home with adequate ventilation.
After the reform you must protect yourself well , we recommend that you wear clothes that can get stained, a protective mask to prevent dust from going into our lungs and glasses to protect your eyes. The dust produced by a work is nothing like common dust, it is thicker because it comes from the perforation of the materials. This dust can wreak havoc on the respiratory system leading to respiratory illnesses.
Remove dust and plaster from the work area
To begin, the essential thing is to make sure that we have all the materials and tools at hand to carry out a thorough cleaning of our house or the space where the work has been carried out. The most effective option for cleaning is the vacuum cleaner, it will be the first thing to use when collecting and removing the accumulated dust on the floor . Most likely, as it is a thick powder, you will have to empty the bag more than once, do not worry since once you finish with all the powder it will be much easier for you to go for everything else.
The next thing is to clean the ceiling and the walls with the help of a ladder, a bucket and a damp sponge or cloth, this way you will remove the smallest remains of dust and dirt. You can repeat this operation as many times as necessary, as long as the sponge or cloth is well wrung out and you make quick passes so as not to leave a mark on the walls and ceiling.
Removes dirt from furniture and corners of the home
For cleaning specific furniture that you have not been able to protect during the course of the work, the ideal is to use a cloth and a soapy cleaner to get rid of dust and dirt that may have remained, remember to wash the cloth from time to time so as not to re-soiling the furniture with the dust collected on it and that can scratch the surface of the furniture.
To remove the dirt embedded in the furniture and located in a place that is difficult to access for vacuuming, you can use a small brush or, failing that, an old toothbrush. By wetting the brush in a little water you will be able to clean all those corners, once it has passed, remove the dirt with the help of a damp cloth until it is shiny. If this procedure has not produced the desired effect, you can always contact express painting professionals to restore your furniture and return it to good condition in a short time and without causing you any further discomfort.
Cleans cement from embedded soil
In cases where we have a reform or work involved, there are always some traces of it in the form of stains or traces of cement. The best way to eliminate them is to get a descaling product, which allows to permanently eliminate the remains of cement that may have fallen on the floor or splashed the wall. Before starting to clean, remember to dilute the product in water and read the instructions on the container correctly, then moisten the floor in the place where the stains are found with the help of a cloth or cloth. Next, rub the mixture over the rest of the cement, wait a few minutes before rubbing again and repeat the action until the stain completely disappears. Remember that the product takes a few minutes before taking effect, so give it some time.
Once the entire work area is finished, it is possible that throughout the hours you will continue to find traces of dust, the important thing is to be constant and keep a daily cleaning and maintenance rhythm , so that little by little you eliminate every last one. rest of dirt. Do not forget above all about protection and good ventilation in your home.

Remove dust from your floors with this trick
A few weeks ago while doing my chores, I noticed that the floors throughout my house were dirty and full of dust, even though I had cleaned and vacuumed them three days before.
The reality is that this bothered me a lot because when you clean the house, you spend all day mopping, washing and cleaning, so I called my mom to tell me how to remove the dust from the floor without having to spend hours and hours scrubbing .
If you like me want to wash the floors of your house easily and quickly, take note of what you will need:
*Bucket
* Mop
* Water
* Vinegar
Process:
1. Sweep and vacuum your floors. I know this is tiring, but if you do it right the first time the result will be worth it.
2. In a bucket , place the warm water with white vinegar, stir so that both ingredients are mixed.
3. Mop and let dry. The vinegar also disinfect, will help the dust will not stick in your floors.
In the event that you have previously done the chore and the floor has certain stains, take a paper napkin and put a little vinegar and go through the dirty area.
This step is very simple and practical as it will leave your floors looking like new. Even if you have a sprinkler, everything will be easier.
I hope this trick makes your life easier and if you have any cleaning secrets, don't hesitate to share them.

Remove dust from the construction site
Before starting, the first thing we must do is try to make the dust that has accumulated during the work disappear . Your first impulse will be to take a broom and start sweeping everything, but with this you will only be able to move the particles from place.
Open the window of the compartment where you are going to start cleaning and with the door closed, place a fan pointing outwards.
For the first cleaning itself, it is advisable to use a vacuum cleaner , but you can do it using the traditional brush method, although it will take longer and the effectiveness will be lower. Once you have finished, leave the fan on for at least an hour and the window open, with this you will get the particles that float in the air out into the street .
Repeat this process in each of the rooms in the house. It is recommended that you start with the innermost cabin and work your way towards the exterior rooms from the inside out. In this way you will avoid accumulated dust.
Ceilings and walls
Once we have the house clean of dust and particles, the next step is to remove the dirt that has accumulated on ceilings and walls . In order to do so, I recommend that you follow these steps:
Fill a bucket with water and dip a mop in it until it is completely wet. Before starting, check that it is in a good hurry and does not leak. It is very important, therefore, squeeze it until you appreciate that it is completely drained.
When you have the mop ready and with the right humidity, place it in the upper corner of each wall and proceed to scrub it from corner to corner in the case of ceilings and from corner to corner and from top to bottom when we clean the walls . When you finish each area, you will have to rinse the mop and re-wet it to continue cleaning other areas until both the ceilings and the walls are clean.
The floors after the construction
It is very likely that on the floor of the house you can find traces of mud, cement, plaster . In order to remove those stains that may be resistant to conventional detergents, there are some more specific chemical products on the market for this type of more complex dirt. Antiscale , cement removers , or descalers are usually ideal products for this job.
Before starting, the first thing we must do is try to make the dust that has accumulated during the work disappear. Your first impulse will be to take a broom and start sweeping everything, but with this you will only be able to move the particles around.
If the case that "complicates your life" is how to clean stoneware or porcelain floor after the work, there may be other doubts that usually arise. First you must identify the type of floor and then apply the specific cleaner for stains.
In any case, the ideal solution is the classic vacuum cleaner in the case of smooth floors and the sweeping machine if the surface is rough. The latter is much more efficient and also more expensive.
Cleaning the rest of your home
Once you have managed to remove the dirt from the walls and the floor, the next objective is to clean the rest of the components of your home . Although they should have been covered and insulated during the job, it is very likely that they have traces of dust and plaster from some spatter. The ideal way to remove this dirt is to fill a bucket with water and detergent and use a very damp cloth to remove the remains of dust and dirt. It is important that you use a degreasing detergent that will guarantee proper cleaning.
When you have the cloth with water and detergent, remove the excess water, but leave it very wet so that it is less aggressive and does not cause scratches and scratches. When you see dirt on the cloth, put it back into the bucket and start over.
In the case of stainless steel windows, use specific products for this, such as specific spray cleaners or a stripper stainless steel cleaner , in case there is any residual welding.
Once you have managed to remove the dirt from the walls and the floor, the next objective is to clean the rest of the components of your home. Although they should have been covered and insulated during the job, it is very likely that they have traces of dust and plaster from a splash.
Another of the enemies that you can find in cleaning your home are paint or varnish stains , I recommend patience and the use of a good universal stripper that will facilitate the removal of those uncomfortable stains.
Popular and inexpensive remedies to clean the remains of work.
There are some homemade solutions that can be efficient and simple in some cases. They do not reach the level of effectiveness of professional products, but they can be a cheaper option. Let's see the most used.
For lime or plaster stains on the windows you can use acid or cement remover. In the case of aluminum window frames or kitchens, I recommend a mixture of water, soap and ammonia. If it is one of those stubborn stains on floors and walls, carbonated drinks or even hydrogen peroxide have a very efficient effect.
For embedded stains, the classic "vaporetta" from your ironing center is usually very effective in cleaning them, the water vapor penetrates and in many cases it is the ideal solution for those stubborn stains.
In the event that it is paint or varnish, there is a very effective solution: nail polishes that contain acetone. To do this, spread this product on the stain and very carefully and scrape it with a spatula until it disappears.
You have almost finished the end of work cleaning.
Once you have finished with dust, ceilings, floors, walls, windows and doors and have your house “apparently” clean, I recommend that you go back to vacuuming as a review of the previous work . Once this process is finished, you will have your home in perfect condition to start the move and thus enjoy a new place to live.
We hope we have helped you with this article and have made the task of cleaning your new home a little easier. Thanks for reading and you can leave any comments that can help us improve and expand this article.

Your life will change because you will begin to see everything with another perspective and, in addition, you will know those secrets that are found underground that no one else knows.
Each detector has different functions and there is one for each occasion, that is why many explorers have interesting collections of detectors for different activities.
Also, for different types of terrain and climates, such as humid, arid, hot, cold areas, fields, rivers, mountains, beaches, jungles, forests and even in the city.
What is a metal detector?
Let's start with the first thing, you know exactly, what is a metal detector? I bet so, but we want to make sure we explain it to you as the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language would do it or as Garrett himself would, that is, with all his specifications.
‟A metal detector is an electronic equipment that by transmitting an electromagnetic field can detect metallic objects. This electromagnetic field or electromagnetic impulses have their start from the coil towards the ground. The objects that are in that electromagnetic field are energized and retransmit their own field, in this way it is that the detector manages to reach its objective. "
And you wonder, how is it that they always detect valuable objects? Well, almost all detectors are capable of discriminating between different types of objects and metals. In addition, they can be adjusted to ignore unwanted objects, making you always get something truly valuable in your searches, completely guaranteeing your investment.
And if you are also wondering what the detectors look like, here we explain it to you, although they do not all look the same, most retain the same structure, to ensure a good functioning of the metal detector.
A metal detector is an object with an elongated handle and handles, with a flat plate-shaped surface where the sensor is located with electrical current.
From said '' plate '', an electric current is sent to the ground, but when a metallic object is in the perimeter of the current, it is distorted and emits an alert sound, warning that there is a metallic object in that space and what time you got down to work and start digging!
The first uses of these metal detecting machines were specifically for the military industry, since they detected the presence of land mines, anti-personnel mines or any other explosive system that had metal.
Of course, as you already know, today its use is so common, that it is used by experienced archaeologists to amateurs who have fun searching for treasures with metal detectors and at the seaside.
Its main function is to find hidden metal elements. Of course, there are different ways of use and each model has distinctive specifications for each metal hunting activity.
A metal detector can be used in security systems for the search for dangerous metal artifacts such as weapons, in the search for mines and in the search for treasures, to detect from old coins to gold nuggets.
So, no matter what use you are going to give it, it will still work correctly if you are looking for the detector that best suits your needs, if you are an experienced metal finder, a beginner, an archaeologist or a fan of collecting objects, we have the detector for you.
How does a metal detector work?
Now that you know scientifically what a metal detector is, you will want to know how they work because as we already taught you in the preamble, everything is magnetism.
The detectors transmit an electromagnetic field from the coil to the ground, and since every metallic object within said field is energized and retransmits its own electromagnetic field, the coil receives the retransmitted field and will alert you to what depth the object is.
Not to mention that its discrimination capabilities are quite good, so you will not take home garbage, but rather some treasure no matter how big or small it is.
The magnetic field is the matrix of the operation of these machines, therefore, we will show you how this magnetic field is created.
The magnetic field attracts ferromagnetic materials making the whole process possible. Inside the detector plate, there are 2 coils of wire wound in a spiral on a core, these are called the transmitter coil and the receiver coil.
The transmitter coil is the conductor of an inverted current flow thousands of times per second, creating a working frequency and in turn originating an electromagnetic field capable of penetrating the earth and the receiving coil is capable of detecting the variation of this field. by the presence of any metal.
Types of Detectors
Now that you know how to use a metal detector, now we will show you how they are classified according to their way of working and their frequency, read on to find out their differences and which one is best for you.
VLF Low Frequency Detectors - These are the most frequently used. Their working frequency is one or two, being much more sensitive to copper and silver, in addition they perfectly combine different factors such as discrimination, high sensitivity, ground balance and a great depth of detection.
However, one of their major drawbacks is that they do not have much stability or good performance, since the mineralization of the land where they will be used affects their operation.
Multifrequency detectors - These are also low frequency detectors, since they use between 17:28 frequencies for their search, and most decide to work with this system under frequencies between 1.5 and 25 or 100 Khz, thus improving their stability and performance. , although it is in a highly mineralized terrain.
PI Pulse Induction Detector - These are mostly recommended in beach searches or in places where there is not much presence of scrap metal, since they do not have a good discrimination system, adding their low search autonomy.
Each pulse requires a large amount of energy, despite all this, it has great qualities, its great sensitivity and depth, and the best thing, that, despite the mineral conditions of the ground, these do not alter its performance.
These types of detectors have a great capacity to handle highly mineralized ground conditions and their ability to detect objects at considerable depth.
Box or antenna detectors - This type of detectors use a transmission and reception system, and this entire system works thanks to the perpendicular position of the coils and the distance that separates them, which is about 70 cm.
Its main qualities are that it can distinguish ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
But they are also not very sensitive to small objects and their operation can easily be influenced by the elements of the terrain where they are used. These detectors do not have a great capacity for discrimination, so it is a bit more complex to work with them.
Gold detectors
In the mid-nineteenth century, prototypes of metal detectors began to be made and although at first it was only used for common metals or for war operations, little by little it became an alternative to search for metals, treasures, jewelry and metal most precious of all, gold.
Just a few years before the invention of the metal detector, in the 1840s, the gold rush broke out, where thousands of people moved to the golden lands of the western United States in search of large quantities of gold.
Although this happened years before the forerunners of treasure detectors began to explore, I don't mean that people wouldn't be interested in how to search for gold with a metal detector.
Many, many people saw in these devices to search for gold the opportunity not only to make a lot of money, but to become a collector of really valuable objects by searching for gold with a metal detector.
However, this did not happen until several years after the invention of these machines, as they were previously used for warfare.
Unlike the search for treasures, coins, jewels or relics, the search for gold cannot be left in the hands of any team, with the help of our experts, you must select the correct equipment since the search for gold requires careful study .
Whether it's pieces, whole objects, or gold nuggets, metal detectors always detect gold.
Modern detectors have the ability to discover gold in extremely small sizes, such as the size of a grain, although as the size of the object is larger, it is easier to find them deeper.
Usually, the gold detectors are of the type of low frequency VLF circuits, which are very sensitive to gold, although also to the minerals in the ground, even so, their adjustment allows to filter most of the mineral interference.
The Pulse Induction type of low frequency circuit, which ignores all mineral soil conditions and has the ability to find large amounts of gold at great depths, making the decision of the best metal detector for gold quite difficult. .
If you are wondering which is the best metal detector to look for gold, I will tell you that, with almost all our detectors, you can look for gold, we will show you its differences and virtues in the search for gold, from the best quality to the gold detector special price, all for you:

Where to use your metal detector?
You can imagine that valuable objects such as treasures, relics, coins or gold are found anywhere in the world, and it is like that, in almost all the world there are buried treasures scattered in different lands.
But in some places there are many more possibilities to find these treasures and where you can start exploring without problems, in the following text, you will know where to look with a metal detector.
Ghost towns: If you find yourself in a settlement or some abandoned city, then run and go for your treasure detector, as these are very good places to start detecting metals.
Some ancient mining towns and settlements have hidden treasures and valuable items waiting to be unearthed. So the chances that you will find at least some ancient coins and other historical items are very high.
Gardens: Have you ever been curious about what things can be hidden in your home's garden or in your neighbor's? If so, then you should also go for your detector and start exploring without even leaving your comfort zone.
Tons of things may be waiting under your garden and the older the ground, the better your chances of finding something valuable.
They are areas that can host a significant number of people over time. Which means that something lost is most likely buried there. These odds increase if the garden is old or attached to a place that has history.
In places like these, you could find everything from coins and toys, to relics and jewelry, which makes the gardens an excellent place to use your metal detector.
Beaches: Beaches are usually the favorite places to use metal detectors, and if you know how, when and where to detect metal on the beach, you can collect a large number of valuable items.Searching for treasures along the coast can cause you to discover many great items.
And we will tell you a few secrets that you will thank us for, the best moments to detect on the beach are, after a storm or after sunset and when the bathers have left the seashore, leaving coins, jewelry and other interesting items lost.
The beach is a very good place to look for coins with a metal detector. Using a detector on the beach has the great advantage that it almost always guarantees that you will find something and that something will almost always surprise you!
Squares and courtyards of the churches: These places are almost always full of history and tend to be many years old. The oldest constructions in a city or town are churches and squares since, in general, it is the first thing that is built when a community is installed.
Therefore, many may be hundreds of years old, which is why these places are a paradise for treasure hunters and relics.
Fields: The fields are often full of treasures and artifactsEspecially where farmers work, they are an excellent starting place for metal detection, because the surface of these fields is constantly changing by external factors, the elements come close to the surface and can be easily detected when you search.
Of course, before detecting any property, you must ask the land owner for permission and make sure that, in that place, it is legal to search with a metal detector.
How the history of metal detectors began
The nineteenth century is known for being a time when the world stopped being only agricultural and livestock to become an industrialized society thanks to the many discoveries and the force exerted by large industries and companies in society.
One of the discoveries that significantly changed the world was the invention of electricity, which brought with it many more experiments, discoveries and economic items.
Right after this, many academics, scientists and miners began to develop metal searching machines that were capable of locating metals buried underground, as they realized that underneath them they could find endless treasures and relics of great value.
There are still some debates as to who was the true inventor of the metal detector, since the history about it is not very clear, but one of the first feats of these devices took place in the 19th century, when the president of the United States United, James Grafield suffered an attack in July 1881 in Washington DC, by Charles J. Ghuiteau.
The wound was not fatal since the shot was in the back and it did not seem such a deep wound, however, as much as the doctors searched for the bullet and used dozens of treatments to stop the infection, they were unsuccessful.
At that time, Alexander Graham Bell enjoyed great popularity thanks to the invention of the telephone, for which he was a regular visitor to the White House and luckily, had been testing a prototype metal detector with soldiers of war that housed bullets in his body, having very good results.
For which he was called urgently to help the White House doctors find the bullet, which they did for days with the device, which was buzzing for hours, but unfortunately it did not yield any results, despite its effectiveness. been tested in previous tests.
Can you believe that the reason the detector didn't find the bullet was because the bed the president was in had metal springs?
Something very rare at the time and that nobody noticed. Well, as you may already know, the metals around our target can confuse the machine and hinder the search as it happened in this case, and as you may have already guessed, President Garfield died from his infected wound on September 19, 1881. .
And although in this story the detector did not obtain the expected results, this put the metal detectors under the spotlight, because in many other tests (in which there were no spring beds) the results were successful, being very helpful in the tests. wars.
This Bell prototype was the starting point for the true evolution of these machines, which at first were excessively large, complex and difficult to use, but which, without a doubt, were of great use especially to find mines and unexploded bombs later of the First and Second World War.
One of the earliest metal detectors was made of wood with some crudely assembled cables and tubes, which served as inspiration for many manufacturers.
The person who holds the first patent for a metal detector is Gerhard Fisher in 1925, who also began to market them to create an empire with these machines.
Examples later followed by manufacturers like Charles Garrett or White's, these names seem familiar to you, right? Well, they are the same manufacturers that today you get in Dadco Technology Peru, with a great track record of quality and good results.
Like many inventors, Fisher was looking for one thing and got another, as he was doing his work on navigation systems when he discovered that the radio waves he used were distorted by the minerals in the rocks, which is why I suspect that this same technology, but in a reduced scale could work like a metal detector.
The electrical engineer Garrett also perfected the metal detector, as it became his hobby but he couldn't use it the way he wanted, and instead of continuing to search the market, he decided to get down to business and forever revolutionize the metal detector industry. the metal detectors .
Like them, many others have also perfected and contributed to the evolution of these machines such as John Bardeen, William Shockley and Walter Brattain, who not only focused on the detectors, but also developed coils, discriminators and other elements that help the operation of the detectors. .
Throughout the 20th century, the metal detector evolved significantly and went from being a machine used to detect explosive systems or landmines, to becoming a daily routine and a hobby for many.
With each decade it became more effective and precise, as well as its dimensions were reduced, making it much more manageable and easy to use for anyone and not only professionals, but amateurs and beginners, even children.
These days, detectors have a sophisticated technology that allows them to measure the depth and position of the metal and one of the most useful things, to know what type of metal we are going to find.
The companions of metal detectors
Metal detector accessories are the perfect complement, because thanks to these accessories the search for metals can be much easier, faster and more successful.
Let's start with the great coils, which are a clearly necessary complement to metal detectors , the so-called eyes of detectors, they are like a kind of lens of a photographic camera, so, without the coils, our detector '' would be blind '' '.
The coils are a flat circular disk sensitive to metal objects in a close space, they create an electromagnetic field and when an object is inside it, a distortion is generated which is then sent to the control box to notify us of the finding.
Another accessory is the headphones, these not only serve to listen to the alert by the detector when having found something, they also serve to protect the ears, since they minimize the sound so that it is emitted in a wave that does not damage the ear canals.
Not to mention that they are extremely light and easy to handle, with just one button you can configure them to your liking. Its use is specifically so that the detection alert signal is not distorted at any time.
The trays are another great accessory, they are exclusively designed to pan for gold easily and quickly, they have a spiral-shaped plate that also facilitates the search for gold and the best thing is that despite their great functionality, they have a real price accessible.
Let's talk about Coils
A coil is a flat regular disk, which generates a magnetic field sensitive to metallic objects near it. It is located at the end of the bar and is connected to the control box by means of a cable that wraps around the bar.
The shape and size of the coil is what determines the size and depth of the magnetic field. These coils come in different types of sizes and specific to each search activity, so here we will show you which coil is best for you.
How to know which is the ideal coil?
The ideal coil can be obtained according to the search activity you are going to perform, the environment in which you use it or the detector, but everything in the coils depends on their shape and size.
For example, elliptical coils are more maneuverable than circular ones and also offers greater coverage because it is more elongated. Even so, circular coils have more sensitivity and depth of detection, which is why they are the most widely used.
‟If you want to be completely sure that you are carrying the right coil, everything lies in its diameter and shape, since the size of the electromagnetic field derives from there, and therefore the depth and sensitivity of detection”
That is why here at Dadco Technology Peru, when you take a coil home, you also take the knowledge and personalized advice of our metal detection experts, since thanks to their professionalism they will guide you to choose the coil that best suits your needs. your needs to achieve positive results.
If you want to search for coins or gold nuggets, the size of the coil should be small, but if you want to search for much larger treasures, the coil must be large so that the magnetic field expands.
Likewise, as the size of the coil increases, the field of view becomes less concentrated and it stops detecting small objects, showing that the size of the coils should be an aspect that we must take into account when choosing one.
Coils play practically the most important role in the metal detector, the indicated coil depends on the environment in which you are going to use it, in addition to the ground conditions and the search method.
